Poll: Do You Know Your Body?

August 4th, 2009 by Last

I believe that it is very important for everyone to get to know their bodies. It's your body, and who better to know it than you. Your body is like a good friend. If you treat it well, it will treat you well. If you treat it badly, it will treat you badly. By knowing your body; I mean you should pay attention to it. You should know your body better than your doctor, not vice versa. Sometimes, the solution to your health problems is simple. If you take care of your body and learn what your body needs you can solve some of the problems you may be having yourself.

However, if you feel that you really don't know what the health problem is than, you should go to the doctor. I'm not against going to the doctor, I just don't believe in taking medication just because you sneezed. I believe in healing the body naturally.

You too, can start to get to know your body. Read my " Getting To Know My Body" article.

If you have a getting to know your body story. Please tell me about them because I would really love to hear about it.

Beneficial Uses Of The Miswak

August 4th, 2009 by Last

A couple of sayings about the miswak from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

Brush your teeth with a miswak (a wooden toothpick usually made from a twig of the peelu tree) after a meal and rinse out your mouth. For these two practices are a safeguard for the eye, teeth, and the wisdom teeth.

Use miswak, for this practice comes from cleanliness, and cleanliness comes from faith, and faith takes its practioner to heaven.

The miswak is very easy to use, and it will help you clean your teeth. It's safe and natural. It's almost like using a toothbrush except instead of brushing across you brush up and down. When you start using the miswak you can feel the natural juices cleaning your teeth. You can use the miswak throughout the day, and not only in the morning or before you go to bed.(Muslims use the miswak before each prayer.)

The miswak can also be used to help get rid of phelgm. Take the miswak, and put it a little down the back of the throat, and it will help you cough-up the phelgm. As you can see the miswak is a great way for you to clean your teeth, and the soft fibers get between the teeth easily which produces a flossing effect.

Let the miswak help you keep your teeth clean and your breath smelling fresh.

We have to heal ourselves, mentally, physically, and emotionally, because all of these things make up our whole person. We have learned that only treating the symptom is not healing us. Leave Your Shoes At The Front Door

February 18th, 2009 by Last

Leave your shoes at the front door, because you don't want to track dirt, dust, feces, chemicals and pesticides throughout your house. If you are wearing your shoes in the house those are just some of the things that are on your carpets and floors. You might say to yourself," I have my carpet cleaned", or "I wash my floors". You cannot do that enough, because you are continually walking through your home with your shoes on spreading that filth around daily. You would have to clean your carpet and wash your floors every single day. Who has time to do that?

We are fighting germs every single day. No one wants these things in their homes. Removing your shoes is a great way to keep those things right where they belong. Outside!

Wearing shoes in the house has become convenient, because people don't want to take the time even to remove their shoes. Doing things, because they are convenient aren't always good reasons to do them. As we have learned with our eating habits.

If you just have to wear shoes in the house get some house shoes or slippers that you only wear in the house and not outside. Ask people who visit your home also, to remove their shoes. If they ask you why. Give them the above reasons. You may also want to have a sign made and post it on a wall right beside the door. That way a person cannot miss it.
